FIRST TERM LAB CLASS 1
Welcome to our first lab class. Here you are some
rules you must follow to work in this place:
Language Lab Rules:
1.
The language lab is a place to practice language, and
absolute silence is not expected. Each
student will be assigned to a carrel position in the language lab. The student
must enter the language laboratory quietly, sit in his/her assigned seat
immediately.
2.
Each student is responsible for the condition of
his/her carrel (computer, headphone, keyboard, mouse, etc.); so, when entering
the lab the student must inspect his/her assigned carrel for possible damage
and report any damage to the teacher.
3.
The use of mobile phones, radios, personal stereos,
etc., is prohibited.
4.
Users should work quietly and respect the need for
others to be able to concentrate.
5.
No foods, drinks (including water)
6.
E-mail may be used on condition that it is for
language-learning and not for purely social use. This stipulation also applies
to the use of other Internet facilities.
7.
The student is expected to follow all the teacher’s
instructions and follow the instructions given for the activities that will be
done in the lab that day.
8.
There will be no food, gum or candy allowed in the
lab.
9.
Students must bring only designated supplies to the
laboratory. Book-bags, purses, etc. will be placed in a shelf or along the wall
of the language lab while students are in the labs.
10.
Failure to abide by the rules and procedures of the
language labs will result in possible disciplinary action and/or removal of the
student from the lab.
Note:
ü The first 45 minutes of the
class we’ll work in PET (Preliminary English Test) training. Every lab class we’ll work one
skill: listening,
reading, speaking or writing.
ü The last 45 minutes, we’ll work in
the other activities the teacher will prepare, such as vocabulary, structure,
etc. Remember that if you don’t finish the lab worksheet in class you should
finish it at home.
